White Sands

After a couple of days in Carlsbad Caverns, we headed to White Sands, also in New Mexico. Originally a national monument, White Sands became a national park on December 19, a week before we arrived. If you are looking for a big piece of heaven on Earth, you'll find it at White Sands. A heavenly place, even in the cold. We had so much fun sledding on the dunes. We were children. I loved chasing the sunset. Simply stunning. And I completed the junior ranger book and earned my patch.
